MyoFascial Therapy

Restore healthy oral function from the foundation

Restore healthy function of the tongue, lips, and facial muscles while addressing restrictive oral tissues that may influence breathing, swallowing, chewing, and structural development.

Why it matters

The tongue and facial muscles help shape how we breathe, swallow, chew, speak, and stabilize the airway. Dysfunction or oral restrictions can affect both function and development.

The Aviara difference

We look beyond isolated muscle exercises to evaluate oral function, tongue mobility, swallowing patterns, facial muscle balance, and restrictive tissues within the larger structural picture.

Good to know

Is MyoFascial Therapy the same as myofunctional therapy?

Not exactly. Aviara MyoFascial Therapy™ identifies restricted orofacial fascial tissues that can interfere with healthy tongue, lip, jaw, and facial muscle function. Treatment combines Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) to retrain affected muscles with non-surgical OraLase therapy and, when indicated, laser frenectomy to release restrictions and restore healthier movement, function, and balance.

Does everyone with a tongue-tie need a frenuloplasty?

No. Treatment is based on function, symptoms, mobility, and the individual's overall structural needs.

  • Regenerative TMJ Therapy Reduce pain, restore jaw function, and support long-term joint health through regenerative and integrative therapies.
  • Optimize Appliance Therapy Support healthy breathing, sleep, jaw stability, and performance through personalized appliance therapy.
  • Integrative Posture Improve posture, balance, and whole-body alignment to support healthier movement and function.
